​​Mimi Zhang


Dr. Mimi Zhang is currently teaching and coaching at the Central Conservatory of Music

in Beijing. She is an experienced educator and has taught students ranging from age three

to graduate students in private and group settings for over ten years. Dr. Zhang was the teaching artist at Yale School of Music, and taught in John C, Daniels Inter-district Magnet School of International Communication and other schools in New Haven. As a coach and conductor, she has taught the Yale University concert band brass section, Manhattan School of Music Pre-College orchestra and the New York Symphony orchestra. Dr. Zhang was awarded a full scholarship to receive her Bachelor of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music and her Master of Music degree from Yale School of Music with a full scholarship. In 2016, Dr. Zhang has earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree with a graduate fellowship award.
